How to Enter In Android's Developer Mode?

For Android phone, you may know there is a developer mode hidden. For the mistake operation, you may make your Android phone doesn't work in order or cause some damage,Google hide this function. You may wonder what is developer mode for? In the developer mode, you can reboot system now, apply sdcard:update.zip, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, battery test, CPU test, moderate SIM card information.
As for how to enter Android developer mode, it's easy, just input *#*#4636#*#* in your phone Dial-up interface. In the following interface, you will see phone information, battery information, usage statistics, WiFi information, service information. For different Android versions,it may differ in description.

For battery information, you will see battery status, power plug, battery level, battery health, battery technology etc.

For usage statistics, you will see the usage status of installed apps, which shows how much time your spend on each app.

This is for Android 2.3.6 on my Android phone. Now let's move to Android 4.2

As nexus series are quite popular,I will take Nexus for example:

To access the Developer mode, and things like USB debugging(PS:USB debugging for an Android phone is a method of opening up the phone and allowing it to work with the Android SDK (Software Development Kit), just follow the following steps:

1. Open the Settings menu

2. Go down to the "System" sub-section of the settings menu at the bottom.

3. Hit "About Phone [or Tablet]".

4 At or near the bottom, you should see the "Build number" header.

5 Tap this area about 10 times, and the Developer Options menu should appear.

When it comes to developer mode, some non-tech Android guy may be confused with it.But it's actually a good way to check our phone information or test phone function. You may run into this kind of information, but it can save your search to share with your Android user friends.
